Barker Road Presents “Freaky Friday” November 14-15 at Sutherland High School

Fridays are typically fun, but this one turns "freaky" when an uber-organized mom and her spontaneous teenage daughter magically swap bodiesJoin us for the Barker Road Grade 7/8 musical “Freaky Friday, One Act Edition” November 14-15 at Sutherland High School!

"Freaky Friday" Show Times:

  • November 14 at 7 p.m. (ASL interpreted)
  • November 15 at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m.
  • Onstage at Sutherland High School’s auditorium

Pittsford Middle School Musicians Shine in Hochstein’s Junior Wind Symphony

Congratulations to the 20 talented band students from Barker Road and Calkins Road Middle Schools who participated in the Junior Wind Symphony at the Hochstein School!

Over the course of six weeks, these young musicians dedicated their time and talent to rehearsing under the direction of Hochstein faculty, advancing their ensemble skills and broadening their musical experience beyond the classroom.

Therapy Dog Maya Supports Wellness at Sutherland High School

Sutherland High School’s grade 9 English class welcomed a special visitor on October 23, 2025—Maya, an 8-year-old Goldendoodle with Therapy Dogs International certification. Accompanied by social worker Dave Pascarella, Maya helped provide a comfortable environment for students to explore mental health themes in a book they are reading.

Maurin Jeffries Named Park Road Elementary School Principal

Maurin Jeffries was named the Principal of Park Road Elementary School. Jeffries comes to Pittsford from the Allendale Columbia School where she served as Head of Lower School (childcare through grade 5). Previously she was an assistant principal and principal in the Brighton and Fairport school districts. She also held elementary school teaching positions.
