The Pittsford Central School District Board of Education will be holding a Special Meeting for the purpose of going into an executive session to discuss a personnel matter, where no official business will be conducted. Join us for the 15th Annual Pink the Rink Hockey Games to Benefit Breast Cancer Research on February 1. Starting at 5 p.m., the Panthers take on the Victor Blue Devils in the JV game followed by the varsity game at 6:30 p.m. at the Tim Hortons Iceplex. Tickets are $5 each. The Society for Science has named Pittsford students Emily Xinxin Yu (MHS) and Matthew Xie (SHS) among the top 300 scholars in the 2025 Regeneron Science Talent Search, the nation’s oldest and most prestigious science and math competition for high school seniors. They were selected from nearly 2,500 entrants from 795 high schools across 48 states, American Samoa, Guam, Washington, D.C., Puerto Rico and 14 other countries. Congratulations to the Pittsford students whose artwork was selected to be exhibited at the “Start Here" Invitational Art Show at RIT from January 17 to February 1. Award winners include Mendon High School students Maddy Powell and Charli Sellers; Sutherland High School student Charlie Haynes; and Calkins Road Middle School student Kayla Xue. They will be honored at an awards ceremony at 6 p.m. on Friday, January 17, at RIT’s Webb Auditorium.
Schools will be closed Wednesday, January 29, for Lunar New Year, a NYS public school holiday. Athletic practices/games will proceed as scheduled. Academic rotation days will not be affected. Jan. 30 will be Day 5 for elementary schools, Day 1 for middle schools, and Day E for high schools.
